Hey, y'all!
Welcome to my blog!
I want to introduce myself a wee bit ~
I'm just an ordinary girl woman, who obviously sees herself MUCH younger than she is 😂, who loves Jesus, loves my family, and loves my country.
Many years ago, April of '91-ish, I woke my preacher dad up on a stormy Saturday and I told him I most certainly didn't want to go to Hell nor did I want to get left behind in the Rapture. Oh, how that haunted me for weeks. I was 12, I think, and every time it stormed (which was often in summer in Oklahoma), I just KNEW the Rapture had taken place and I was left behind. So, I just had to, once and for all, get it settled. So, my dad took me in his office, tired and maybe a wee bit grumpy, he took out his Bible and I finally repented of my sins and gave my life to Christ. I have neve once regretted it.
Fast forward to present day ~
I am a wife to a smokin' hot bearded dude. We have been married for 21 years (our anniversary is in just a couple days, so I'm gonna say we made the 21 year mark). We have 4 awesome boys. Our oldest is active duty military, stationed stateside, for the time being. And I homeschool the remaining 3 we have at home. The 3 still in our nest are currently in 10th grade, 7th grade, and 1st grade. My oldest was homeschooled since the very beginning and so, I've been homeschooling for the past 16 years. Only 11 years left. WOOHOO.
I'm also working at learning a few things ~ I would love to learn to garden. I want to be a little more self sustaining and less dependent on big box stores. I want to know that if and when the economy tanks, my family will be fine and survive on what we have in our garden, shelves and freezers. And that takes, learning, space, and time.
I also do my best to stay politically knowledgeable and active. I'm a Christian, first of all. My allegiance belongs to my King of kings and Lord of Lords. But, I get my politics from HIS word. My faith guides my politics. If HE's against it ~ so am I. When I vote, my Bible is my voters guide. I compare my candidates against the lens of THE WORD. And that is how I choose. So, I vote for Life, Liberty, and for the Pursuit of Happiness that the founding fathers laid out in the Constitution of this great land of ours.
This blog will be many things. It will be political. It will be a place for me to showcase the things I make to sell. It will be a journal of the life of our family.
And most of all, I would love it if you would join us on this journey. We'll fight for our country, and we'll make some cute things, and go fun places, making memories while we do it! All to the glory of the Son!
